MAPS offers an exciting, dynamic and rewarding work environment and an excellent salary/benefit package for its approximately 50 staff members, including a generous allotment of paid days off; health, dental and life insurance; an employee-contributory 401K plan; short- and long-term disability, on the job training and more. MAPS has a personnel policy in place that promotes staff diversity and retention. As a result, we have a dedicated, highly skilled group of employees, most of whom are bilingual, bicultural members of the Brazilian, Cape Verdean and Portuguese communities of Massachusetts.

MAPS strongly supports the principles of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action in all its employment policies and practices, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, transfers, training, promotions, layoff and recall, and other terms and conditions of employment. MAPS requires that all these practices be administered without regard to race, color, ethnicity, creed, religion, age, handicap, gender, sexual orientation, or marital status.

Vacancies are posted within the agency internally and externally, and internal promotion is encouraged. MAPS also advertises its open positions on its Web site, on the Internet and in the English- and Portuguese-language media.

Candidates who are interested in working for MAPS may apply for a specific position when it is advertised, or send in a resume and cover letter to be kept on file for future reference. Unless otherwise specified, these documents should be sent to:

MAPS Personnel Office
1046 Cambridge St.
Cambridge, MA 02139

and the specific desired position, if any, should be noted in the cover letter.
