History

The Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) is a private,
non-profit, community-based organization that has provided a wide
range of health and human services to Portuguese speakers and other
residents of eastern Massachusetts since 1970. Click

Making a Difference

MAPS makes a difference in the community in several
ways:
- By assisting individual clients;
- By supporting and partnering with other community
organizations; and
- By publicizing the strengths, needs, and
rights of Portuguese speakers.

Board of Directors & Staff

The MAPS staff is made up of individuals dedicated
to improving the lives of Portuguese speakers in Massachusetts.
Both the staff and the Board of Directors reflect the diversity
of the service community. The Board meets from 6-8 pm on the fourth
Tuesday of each month except for July and August, at the MAPS Cambridge
office, 1046 Cambridge St., Cambridge, in the second floor Board room.

Accessibility Note
MAPS adheres to the regulations of the Americans
With Disabilities Act by making all of its offices and services
accessible to individuals with disabilities. Telephone service is
available to TTY users who are deaf/hearing impaired by calling
the main telephone number at each office location. In addition,
MAPS agency brochures are available in alternative formats, including
large print and audio tape, at each office for blind/visually impaired
