Fidalgo Soccer Challenge 2006

MAPS would like to thank everyone who helped us with the Jorge Fidalgo Memorial Soccer Challenge, a benefit for MAPS and CVC UNIDO. The game took place on Sunday, August 27 at Gillette Stadium despite heavy rain, and the final score was Cape Verdean All Stars 3, Brazilian All Stars 2!

Both teams played really well and it was an exciting game. Brazilian team Coach Fabio Gomes deserves a big round of applause for making an outstanding effort on the field, and MAPS congratulates winning Cape Verdean Coach Manuel "Manecas" Almeida!
